Duke is a son of Tessak Breck and Elbo Winkie. He is 26.5" tall and weighs 140 pounds. Although Duke is a beautiful animal and has wonderful hip results, he will not be used for breeding. Duke as well as several of his siblings had ear infections as well as skin allergies. We are not using any boerboels from either of Duke's parents in our breeding program.
Duke has gone everywhere with my mother from the first time they picked him up at about 10 weeks of age. He goes to the bank, to the store, to the post office, and stays with her at work every day. As a result, he is a very well socialized boerboel. We gave Duke to my parents because they were having some problems with things on the farm "disappearing" while they were away. Since he arrived, those things have stopped disappearing - even though he wasn't quite 3 months old at the time. He is now well known in their small community :)
Duke's hip results are listed below. They are better than at least 90% of all boerboels that have had their hips tested using Penn Hip. There have been 5 other littermates to Duke that have had their hips tested and all have had hips in the top 20% of all boerboels. This litter has also consistently had excellent conformation. Oak View Duke - 89.4% SABT, appraised in May of 2004.
